Book Spotlight Giveaway! Previously Loved Treasures by Bette Lee Crosby

The book that I am featuring this week is written by an author I just love. Her books are so beautifully written and I fall in love with all of her characters. I love that she writes her books as series because it allows me to revisit the wonderful places and people she has introduced me to.

This particular book has a special place in my heart and on my bookshelf. The fabulous Bette wrote me in as a character in this book! I was absolutely thrilled to see my name in print! In this book, I am a friendly, ethical lawyer. How about that?

My book club read this book and we ended up with extra copies so I have one to give away. If you have not read Bette's book yet, I highly recommend them. I have loved them all! Read my thoughts about Previously Loved Treasures here.

Good luck and be sure to stop back next week!

About the author

USA Today Bestselling and Award-winning novelist Bette Lee Crosby's books are "Well-crafted storytelling populated by memorable characters caught up in equally memorable circumstances." - Midwest Book Review

The Seattle Post Intelligencer says Crosby's writing is, "A quirky mix of Southern flair, serious thoughts about important things in life and madcap adventures."

Samantha from Reader's Favorite raves, "Crosby writes the type of book you can't stop thinking about long after you put it down."

"Storytelling is in my blood," Crosby laughingly admits, "My mom was not a writer, but she was a captivating storyteller, so I find myself using bits and pieces of her voice in most everything I write."

It is the wit and wisdom of that Southern Mama Crosby brings to her works of fiction; the result is a delightful blend of humor, mystery and romance along with a cast of quirky charters who will steal your heart away. Her work was first recognized in 2006 when she received The National League of American Pen Women Award for a then unpublished manuscript. She has since gone on to win nineteen awards for her work; these include: The Royal Palm Literary Award, the FPA President's Book Award Gold Medal, Reader's Favorite Award Gold Medal, and the Reviewer's Choice Award.

  3. I have been lucky enough to have a recipe and a memory published in two Gooseberry Patch cookbooks. I also had three recipes chosen to be in two different cookbooks published by the Lexington Herald Leader newspaper. The winners were also invited to go to Lexington for a banquet. May seem small potatoes to most but very exciting to see my name in print!!

  4. Years ago I went to see Deidre Hall from Days of Our Lives at the mall where she was appearing. The same evening when I was watching the news it showed me getting Deidre's autograph and talking with her.

    3. Oh Bethany, that would be embarrassing. I hope you can laugh about it now even though I am sure it was tough at the time. Thanks for sharing that memory with all of us.

  5. I managed to track down and interview two of the people who worked on the worst movie of all time. It made me a 15-minutes' worth of celebrity as the first worst-movie historian. Every now and then someone from Entertainment Weekly or a documentary crew will want to talk to me about it and my 15 minutes rolls around again.

  6. In elementary school, I participated in a balloon launch. The student whose balloon travelled the farthest won a prize. My balloon travelled over a 100 miles. The school held an assembly, and I won an award. It was really fun!

  11. Well it didn't last 15 minutes - but I did go to the premiere of the Footloose remake a few years ago with a friend who won a trip to Los Angeles to attend the premiere and meet the actors. We could see the two of us standing by the red carpet on the local news that night.
