It's Monday! What Are You Reading? September 19, 2016

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's an opportunity to visit other blogs and to comment on their reads. And ... you can add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

Whew! Just spent the weekend watching a couple of grandkids. I love it but it's amazing what I DON'T get done when they are here. This coming weekend, we are heading to Iowa for a nephew's wedding. I am looking forward to the car time so I can get some reading/listening time in. In reality, I'll probably sleep most of the time. Something about riding in a car -- I have a hard time staying awake. I'll have to take some really enticing books with me.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a great week. Happy reading!

What I'm currently reading/listening to

The Vanishing Year
by Kate Moretti
Just getting started on this one and it's good so far.

Meanwhile, Back in Deadwood (Deadwood #6)
by Ann Charles

What I recently finished

Windigo Island (Cork O'Connor #14)
by William Kent Krueger
Wonderful story, it should be an interesting discussion at my book club.

The Truth About Alice
by Jennifer Mathieu
Wow! Great story!!

What I am going to read next

The Girl I Used to Be
by April Henry
April is going to be at our state library conference next week. I haven't read one of her books yet and I want to get this one in before I meet her.

I really love my reading life!

What are you reading this week?

Be sure to check the sidebar for my current giveaways!

  1. The Vanishing Year looks good...and I'm drawn to the Alafair Burke in your sidebar: Never Tell.

Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

    1. The Vanishing Year is really good. There is one character that I can't figure out but I'm thinking I am not going to like them, in the end. Thanks for stopping by Laurel-Rain!

  2. Yes grandkids eat up the time. I admire all those grandparents though who give so much time to them, so worth it. Enjoy the trip next week, with books or sans books - whichever!

    1. Thanks Kathryn, it will be a fun weekend. I'll see a lot of family and it seems like it's usually funerals or weddings so I am glad this is a happy occasion.

  3. The Vanishing Year looks like a good read. I will have to check it out. Enjoy!

    1. Hi Heather - thanks for stopping by. It is turning out to be a great story. Glad I got a chance to read it.

  4. All your books are new to me. Hope your trip is enjoyable.

Thanks SO much for leaving me a comment! Every single one means a whole lot to me!
