Peel the Onion Named Mentor Me
When I wrote Mentor Me: GA=T+E—A Formula to Fulfill Your Greatest Achievement, I had the concept of not just writing a helpful, succinct, concise, and real-world, practical self-help and business book. I wanted to write a simple book that is deceptively complex in its simplicity.
A book that could be viewed on a less superficial, much deeper level; I gave it a complexity of depth. I will say, on the surface, it is a simple book, but look further and you will see many dimensions within its simplicity. Like an onion, you can peel back the layers of “Mentor Me” to reveal many different themes and topics; intentionally written into the book, far beyond and different than other traditional self-help and business books.
I first broached this subject in my blog with the concepts of Newton’s Law of Conservation of Energy and Quantum Entanglement as well as Mentor Me: Self-Help and Business Book with Additional Themes.

Universal Religious and Non-Religious Concept
On the topic of religion, I purposely wanted to leave this theme open-ended, not only for those practicing any major religion in the world, but also for those who have no stated religious beliefs. When you read through “Mentor Me” and my dedication, you will see I did dedicate the book to God. I mention God only one more time in the book.
One of my goals was to introduce something widely thought of as a religious topic without being specific to my religion (Christianity), any one religion, and even to be inclusive of those who have no religion.
I think it is fair to say the concept of “Love Thy Neighbor” is core to the major religions of the world, as well as a philosophical, non-religious theme of what it means to be a good person. I see this concept as a universal, ubiquitous theme to humanity and a philosophy of life versus being confined to any one, specific religion.
For clarification, I am speaking of the concept, “Love Thy Neighbor,” not the exact words as stated in the Bible, because I do not want to polarize this theme into a solely Christian perspective or interpretation.
I never mention this phrase, “Love Thy Neighbor,” in “Mentor Me.” Instead, you will see phrases like, “Be a positive influence on someone else’s life,” as just one example.
Can you see how “Mentor Me” is much different than other self-help and business books you may have read before?
This is only one theme you will find intentionally written into this book, which is beyond the traditional self-help and business books with which you may be accustomed to reading.
Another Allusion to Love They Neighbor
The allusions to the theme, “Love Thy Neighbor” are sprinkled throughout “Mentor Me.” You will find many more allusions than the ones I discuss here in this blog, so have some fun and go through “Mentor Me” on your own. Pick out all the allusions and variations of this theme.
I will give you one more here. What may seem like a more traditional self-help and business theme is not always what it appears to be in “Mentor Me.” Very often there is an additional and much deeper meaning.
For example, “Find the gold and polish it—raise people up,” sounds a lot like “Love Thy Neighbor,” doesn’t it? Certainly, these words are a more universal message than if I referenced the original, Christian-specific Biblical text.
For those of you who have already read “Mentor Me,” have some fun, go back and re-read it for additional concepts and themes beyond other self-help and business books.
