Book Spotlight Giveaway! Summerland by Elin Hilderbrand

I have sooooo many books! I have a ton of print books and probably even more e-books. The Book Spotlight feature that I post every Saturday is a way for me to clear my shelves and to share some of the books I have. There are a lot of different reasons that I might be letting some of my books go, the biggest one is that when we moved I discovered just how many books I really do have. This feature is a way for my to cull my collection and to give someone else the opportunity to enjoy them.

This week's book is one that I have two copies of. I read Elin's book Barefoot several years ago and loved it. (I really need to read more of her books.) At the time that I read Barefoot, my husband was undergoing a bone marrow transplant procedure for his sister and Elin's book helped me escape a tiny little bit from what we were all going through. That book will always have a special place in my heart. Summerland is another one of her books that I want to read someday. One of you can win my extra copy.

Good luck and be sure to stop back next week!

Summerland

Summerland by Elin Hilderbrand
Paperback, 464 pages
Published July 30th 2013 by Reagan Arthur / Little, Brown

A summer's night, a deadly crash, and four lives changed forever--in the page-turning new bestseller from Elin Hilderbrand.

A warm June evening, a local tradition: the students of Nantucket High have gathered for a bonfire on the beach. What begins as a graduation night celebration ends in tragedy after a horrible car crash leaves the driver, Penny Alistair, dead, and her twin brother in a coma. The other passengers, Penny's boyfriend, Jake, and her friend Demeter, are physically unhurt--but the emotional damage is overwhelming. Questions linger about what happened before Penny took the wheel.

As summer unfolds, startling truths are revealed about the survivors and their parents--secrets kept, promises broken, hearts betrayed. Elin Hilderbrand explores the power of community, family, and honesty, and proves that even from the ashes of sorrow new love can take flight.
