My thoughts about First Wife's Shadow ~~
(I love to note the first lines of the books I'm reading. First lines can really grab a reader's attention and I love seeing where the author takes the reader after their first lines.)
First lines—"The body was pinned up against the tree. Dead. Obviously dead. No RIP here."
I am a huge fan of Adele Parks and have loved all of her thrillers. They are twisty and creepy and I never know where her words are going to take me. This is one of her best with all of the spectacular twisty, creepy parts. I devoured it!
Emma and Matthew meet and the relationship almost seems too good to be true. Oops, maybe it is. As things move quickly between the two of them, others in Emma's life urge her to slow down. And then Emma starts doubting herself, and Matthew.
I was totally blown away by the twist that ended this amazing story. If you love psychological thrillers that keep you guessing until the end, First Wife's Shadow is one you definitely should read. I can't recommend it enough! I loved it!
