  1. The cover for The Big Rock Candy Mountain is absolutely beautiful. Is it sad? The synopsis on Goodreads looks sad and I try to stay away from anything that might make me cry the entire time. :)

I've you'd like to stop by and see me, here's my WWW link:WWW on A Turn of Page.

    Have a great Wednesday!

    1. Thanks for stopping by. The Big Rock... is not sad. It is just about times that were hard. It is very well written and sometimes I find it hard to believe it was written such a long time ago. It reads very much like a contemporary novel. It is taking me a while to get thru it but I like it very much. I am on my way over to your WWW.

  2. Wallace Stegner has been recommended to me. Angle of Repose? I downloaded the sample but haven't started it yet. And I have no idea what it's about, or what kind of writer he is.

    1. WS is my husband's favorite author. He has been after me to read this one for quite awhile and I am loving it so far. The writing is very good. And I am pretty sure Angle of Repose is his favorite. Thanks for stopping.
