On Tour: Finding Felicity by Monica Marlowe

When Madeline O'Connor learns that her estranged sister is gravely ill, she leaves behind her life in Manhattan to be at her sister's side in Italy. There, she discovers an ancient Benedictine monastery that accommodates travelers, and she decides to stay there, among the monks.

Everything in her life turns upside down when she falls for Brother Anthony Lamberti, a soft-spoken Italian completely different from the men she knows in New York. Together Madeline and Anthony find love for the first time, and learn that life and love always find a way.

When her sister dies, a new life for Madeline begins. A new life that she would never have imagined and yet is perfect for her in every way. ~~ synopsis from Goodreads

My thoughts on Finding Felicity ~~

Oh man! I really want to go to Italy now! The setting for this story takes place mainly in Italy and the author does such an awesome job of describing everything that it made me feel like I was there. I wanna go there for real!

I really enjoyed reading Finding Felicity. This book dealt with so many different personal relationships. There's a sister, an ex-husband (the same ex who hooked up with the sister - yikes!), a much adored nephew, and not just one but two love interests for Madeline. What more could one ask for? And Madeline has try to figure it all out.

Madeline is a very successful business woman with her own company. She is called to Italy by her nephew when her sister is diagnosed with cancer. Can they reconcile and put the past behind them? Or is the past unforgivable? Madeline stays in the beautiful monastery where her nephew is living and studying. The serenity of this place makes Madeline question her life and her happiness.

I really found myself caring for all of the characters in this story and I wasn't really sure how I wanted it to end. I knew that someone was going to lose Madeline's heart but I just wanted it to somehow work out for everyone. The story takes the reader to emotional places but gives a very satisfying ending.

Monica is an author who I will be adding to my
'TBR' list of authors.

I can't wait to see what she writes next!
