#Giveaway Time! Nearly Departed in Deadwood by Ann Charles #NearlyDepartedInDeadwood @AnnWCharles

I have sooooo many books!

The This OR That Giveaway! feature that I post every Saturday is a way for me to cull my collection and to share some of the many books I have. I get to clear off some of my shelves to make room for more books and also to give someone else the chance to enjoy these treasures.

This week's giveaway is going to be a little different from my This OR That Giveaway. As this post goes live, I am on my way to Deadwood with my daughter and DIL. We will be out there for a week and part of the week will be for Ann Charles' Fan Party. She holds this party every year and we went last year for the first time. We had a blast and can't wait for this one—four days of amazingness.

Ann is one of my favorite, must-read-everything-she writes, authors. I go see her whenever I can, whenever she is close. She is a hoot! I absolutely love this series and all of her fun, quirky characters. I've listened to this entire series on audio and it is amazing. The narrator does a great job!

I have an extra copy of the first book in Ann's Deadwood mystery series for my giveaway this week. And I'm thinking I can probably grab some great swag and goodies from her while I'm out there to make this giveaway extra special.

Here are the first couple of lines of Nearly Departed in Deadwood. I think this first line is one of the best ever!

"The first time I came to Deadwood, I got shot in the ass. Now, twenty-five years later, as I stared into the double barrels of Old Man Harvey's shotgun, irony was having a fiesta and I was the piñata."

Ann and me over the years. Gotta love the purple boots!
Good luck and be sure to stop back next week!

Nearly Departed in Deadwood
by Ann Charles
Paperback ~ Published February 2011

Little girls are vanishing from Deadwood, South Dakota. Fearing her daughter might be next, single mom, Violet Parker, is desperate to find the monster behind the abductions.

With her savings dwindling and just three weeks left to sell her first house or lose her Realtor job, Violet is ecstatic when a handsome jeweler hires her to sell his century-old, Victorian masterpiece until she sees the dilapidated dwelling.

Now, if she could just convince her only buyer to stop rejecting vintage homes as if they're haunted. Short on time and long on worry, she refuses to give up her dream of a fresh start in Deadwood.

But with a malicious coworker trying to get her fired, a secret admirer sending her creepy messages, and a sexy stranger hiding skeletons in his closet, will Violet end up as one of Deadwood's dearly departed?
