Hazel

Working at Portland Grace has always been fun, until Tanner Wilson arrives—or Doctor Drop-Dead Gorgeous as all the scrub nurses have started calling him. Not me, though. Just thinking about him gives me heart palpitations. Not only is Tanner my brother’s best friend, he’s also my new boss. A boss who looks way too good in scrubs.

To make matters worse, I’ve got to share an apartment with him, all thanks to my stupid brother who offered him our spare room. Ugh. Do you know how torturous is it to watch a hot doc scoop cereal into his mouth every morning and having to pretend he means nothing to you?

Tanner

Being offered Head of Trauma at Portland Grace is a dream come true, but I didn’t count on Hazel Green becoming my new scrub nurse. Don’t get me wrong, she’s good at her job, but to me she’ll always be my best friend’s little sister. Extremely cute, but also extremely off-limits.

As long as I can convince her that I don’t like her at all, I’ll be fine. At least, that’s the lie I keep telling myself.

My thoughts about Falling for Doctor Drop-Dead Gorgeous ~~

(I love to note the first lines of the books I'm reading. First lines can really grab a reader's attention and I love seeing where the author takes the reader after their first line.)

First line—"I shouldn't have drunk that second glass of prosecco on the plane, because now I'm seeing things. Not weird things like ghosts or dead celebrities."

You just gotta love a cute, fun rom-com but especially when it has a bit of a Grey's Anatomy feel to it. Who didn't love that show and McDreamy? Well, Falling for Doctor Drop-Dead Gorgeous has a McDreamy and a darling female who falls hard for him.

I loved this story, book #2 in the That Wilson Charm series. All of Sophie-Leigh Robbins's stories are such fun and I know I'll be having a entertaining read when I start one of her books.

Hazel and Tanner knew each other before Tanner started working at Hazel's hospital. But a near-miss kiss cooled any feelings they thought they might have had for each other. Thrown together again, are those feelings real, or will they drive a wedge between them?

Falling for Doctor Drop-Dead Gorgeous has all the ingredients for a perfect rom-com that will end just the way you want it to. I highly recommend it for a rousing bit of entertaining fun.

I received a copy of Falling for Doctor Drop-Dead Gorgeous from the author and this is my honest opinion.

Release Day! Falling for Prince Charming by Sophie-Leigh Robbins ~ My Thoughts #FallingForPrinceCharming

 Happy Release Day!!

Falling for Prince Charming!

Falling for Prince Charming: A Feel-Good Romantic Comedy by Sophie-Leigh Robbins
Series: That Wilson Charm Book 1
Published September 7, 2021 by Got It Covered Press

Falling for your best friend’s brother is tricky… unless you’re keeping it a secret.

Elle

I never thought I’d be serving hotdogs dressed as an actual hotdog at the local amusement park. Not at twenty-five anyway. I know desperate times call for desperate measures, but come on... Do you know how hard it is to look good when you’re squeezing yourself in between two brown buns every day? That’s right, so hard that I’ll never get Prince Charming’s attention.

Not that it matters. He’s my best friend’s brother aka completely off-limits. But the way he looks at me makes me weak in the buns.

Colton

All I want is to get through the summer and save up some cash by playing Prince Charming at the local amusement park so I can get out of Summerville Creek before I turn thirty or – even worse – before I turn out exactly like my dad.

Falling for my sister’s best friend isn’t part of the plan, though. She’s all red hair and curves, and she’s driving me crazy in that adorable hotdog suit of hers. I try to avoid her as much as I can, but when my boss asks her to play the Princess to my Prince Charming, all bets are off. We’re park royalty now and I want the happily ever after too.

This romcom has all the laughs and sizzle but no explicit content.

First line—"I shouldn't have drunk that second glass of prosecco on the plane, because now I'm seeing things. Not weird things like ghosts or dead celebrities."

Oh my gosh! This was such a fun, cute story. I immediately fell in love with the characters and the relationships that they had with each other. I love it in stories when two people who are supposed to stay away from each other but the chemistry is just too strong and they can't. Watching them try to avoid the inevitable is LOL hilarious.

I've read several of Sophie-Leigh Robbins' books now and I think I enjoyed this one the most, and that's saying a lot because I've loved them all. There is just something about this one—the entertaining storyline, the great characters, the funny situations that they find themselves in, the chemistry, the friendship, the amusing dialogue—it all made for a great read that I found myself thoroughly immersed in.

This story is still putting smiles on my face just thinking about it. I highly recommend Falling for Prince Charming for a bit of entertaining fun.

Book #2 in this fun series, Falling for Doctor Drop-Dead Gorgeous, is scheduled to be released on April 4, 2022. I can't wait!

Release Day! Snowed in With You by Sophie-Leigh Robbins ~ My Thoughts #SnowedInWithYou

Snowed in With You

Snowed in With You by Sophie-Leigh Robbins
Published December 14th, 2020 Got It Covered Press
 Holiday Fiction, Holiday Romance

Molly

Why, Santa, why? I’ve been so good this year and yet here I am, snowed in with the most grumpy, gloomy – and admittedly, gorgeous – man I’ve ever met. Instead of blissfully sledding down an Alaskan mountain during my work trip, I have to listen to the guy complain about how much he hates Christmas. Not to mention the fact that he’s in the running for the same writing award as me. Too bad throwing someone out into the snow isn’t considered very Christmassy or it would’ve been good riddance for sure.

Derek

Carolers, gingerbread, hot cocoa, tinsel, mistletoe… The list of Christmas torture goes on and on. And as if it’s not bad enough that I have to endure this holiday cheer for a work trip, I’m now stuck at The Royal Reindeer with a true Christmas freak. I’d love for her to back off, but I can’t exactly tell her why I hate the holidays this much. My best bet is to avoid her altogether, which is quite the challenge when you’re forced to share a cabin.

But if I don’t want to be around her, then why am I doused in glitter, helping her make Christmas cards?

My thoughts about Snowed in With You ~~

(I love to note the first lines of the books I'm reading. First lines can really grab a reader's attention and I love seeing where the author takes the reader after their first line.)

First line—"There were a lot of things I didn't understand, like why on earth people wrote their own memoirs when the most exciting thing they'd ever experienced was getting stuck on a rollercoaster for fifteen minutes, an event that supposedly changed their life forever."

This was the perfect Christmas escape read for me right now. It was a fun, entertaining read that I devoured, allowing me to forget about the stress of the holidays, and the world, for a little bit.

Molly and Derek find themselves thrown together for a work situation and they definitely rub each other the wrong way. Their feelings about Christmas are as different as night and day. To be honest, I pretty much knew where this story was going to end up but getting there was so much fun! As much as I enjoyed watching the conflict—and the chemistry—between Molly and Derek, this story also has some amazing side characters that I fell in love with. So much fun!

I've read other stories by Sophie-Leigh and they are always such a treat—captivating, light reads that always leave me with a smile on my face. Snowed in With You is the perfect book to satisfy your pre-Christmas reading craving. Pick it up now!

I received a copy of Snowed in With You from the author and this is my honest opinion.

Release Day! In For a Treat by Sophie-Leigh Robbins ~ My Thoughts #InForATreat

Happy Release Day!!

Congrats Sophie-Leigh
on the release today of
In For a Treat!

In For a Treat: A Sweet Small-Town Romantic Comedy by Sophie-Leigh Robbins
Old Pine Cove Book 3
Kindle Edition
Published March 9th 2020 by Got It Covered Press

One down-on-her-luck dog walker. One irresistible vet with the perfect job offer. Too bad dating a coworker is so not done.

Olive’s small-town life is crumbling as fast as an expired dog treat. Her side business is facing some fierce competition from a stuck-up dog walker and her part-time job as a barista hardly pays enough to cover the rent. Moving back home is out of the question, since her parents have turned her old bedroom into an exclusive hamster hotel.

For veterinarian Lewis, moving to Old Pine Cove with his dog Archie is the fresh start he’s been craving. He’s convinced breathing new life into the animal clinic will help him forget the big mess he left behind in Britain.

But then an accident lands Olive a job at his clinic, and before long, they’re stealing dreamy glances at each other over the treatment table.

Too bad true-to-his-word Lewis has sworn never to date an employee again…

In For a Treat is a sweet romantic comedy and part of the Old Pine Cove series. All books in this series share the same setting, but each book features a different couple.

My thoughts about In For a Treat ~~

(I love to note the first lines of the books I'm reading. First lines can really grab a reader's attention and I love seeing where the author takes the reader after their first line.)

First line—"'Heel, Butterscotch,' I pulled on the Border terrier's leash and the dog joined me at my side again."

In For a Treat. What can I say? It was fun, sweet, funny, romantic, and so much fun. Oh wait, I already said fun. But it truly was such a fun read. I immediately loved Olive and Lewis and loved their instant connection—even though it took awhile for them to act on it. Getting there was the fun part.

I've read the other two books in this series and loved them both as well! I fell in love with the community and the characters after reading the first book and really enjoy my trips back to Old Pine Grove. You can find my thoughts about Snowflakes and Sparks here and Love to Prove You Wrong, book #2 here.

I highly recommend this book and in fact, this whole series! They are sweet reads that will capture your heart. Believe me, you are in for a treat when you read In For a Treat. 😍

I received an ARC of In for a Treat from the author and this is my honest opinion of the book.
