Hello! Welcome to It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? This weekly meme, hosted by Book Journey, is where we share what we have read this past week and what our plans are for the upcoming week. It’s a great way to see what others are reading and to discover books to add to your own To Be Read list. You never know where that next great read may come from!

What I am going to read next
I love my reading world!
What's going on in your reading world this week?
What's going on in your reading world this week?
My copy of Those Secrets We Keep is staring at me from a book pile in my kitchen. I'm interested to know how do you pick some of the books you are going to read next? I'm thinking about starting a TBR jar with slips of paper which have book names or authors written on them. Then once a week I would pick a paper out and go with it! So many books... so little time. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteTonight I'm finishing The Girl Who Wrote in Silk. And before I start another book tomorrow, I am going to catch up on writing my reviews!
Thanks for stopping by, Jen. Usually the books I read are whatever the next review book is that's due. I sometimes over committ to reviewing and read up to the post deadline. I have a hard time saying 'no' when there are so many good ones out there I want to get my hands on.
DeleteWhere to you post your reviews? I would like to take a look at them sometime.
I just watched the recent Olive Kitteridge TV series (4 episodes) - it was gut-wrenchingly good (I loved the book too). Olive is such a prickly unlikeable character, who gets under your skin and into your heart just the same :-)
ReplyDeleteWhich way did your book group swing?
I really need to watch that series! Most of us loved the book. There was one person who really didn't. But she is the type that if she disagrees with something the character does, she can't get past that and doesn't enjoy the book. So, whatever. This was the second time I read it and I think I loved it even more this time. And Olive is one of those characters that you gotta love and strongly dislike at the same time.
