It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's an opportunity to visit other blogs and to comment on their reads. And ... you can add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

August must be a slow month for book releases, or else I was very disciplined about six months ago and didn't request very many review books. I feel like I've had a real lull in the books I 'have to read' this month—you know what I mean—books with deadline. So I've been able to read whatever I've been in the mood for. It's been a nice break and it feels good to get a few books off of my TBR shelves.
Schools all around us are starting back up with the university students slowly descending on our town. Their classes start next week. When I worked at the university library, I always loved it when the students were back on campus. And then that leads us into fall, my favorite season, and football!
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you all have a good week.
Happy reading!

December is my slow month for review books. I had bunches and bunches releasing in August. It is nice to be able to read your own choices once in a while. You picked some good ones. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteDecember is slow for me too, I guess. I must have back off on signing up for review books for this month. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteWhat an intriguing list! I’ll be looking for the reviews.
ReplyDeleteIt's quite a variety, that's for sure. Thanks for dropping by.
DeleteLooks like you've got some good reads coming up and glad you can enjoy some mood reads. I'm glad to find someone else who also loves football. I especially love it when the college teams kick off!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the variety in my reading material right now.
DeleteI have a couple of favorite college teams and a favorite pro team so our weekends are usually full of football. I love it!
I am wondering what the latest Jodi Picoult book is like. We had an interview with her on our local radio. Haven't listened to it yet, but I will.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed parts of it. Not really a fan of Shakespeare's works so that part was hard to get into. But like always with her books, I learned a lot that I didn't know before.
