My thoughts about Revealing Hope ~~

(I love to note the first lines of the books I'm reading. First lines can really grab a reader's attention and I love seeing where the author takes the reader after their first lines.)

First line—"His Angel Essence was only 21 years old."

Whew! What an adventure this book, and in fact, the entire series was. When I got to the end of Revealing Hope, I literally let out a breath. And I had to pause to savor the conclusion of this amazing series. 

Until I started reading Revealing Hope, I didn't realize just how much I missed CeeCee and Cash. I loved being dropped right back into their world as they prepare to fight Azazel. Once again, they are thrown into an epic battle but this book is so much more than that. Revealing Hope is where we learn about their lives, both past and present, and we come to understand how the two of them came to be together. 

As they prepare for battle, they learn something from CeeCee's past that will help them in their quest, an unexpected ally who steps up to help them with the battle. It just goes to show that friends and allies can come from unexpected places, right?

Revealing Hope ended in such a beautiful, satisfying way. Like I said, it took my breath away. Although I'm sad to say goodbye to CeeCee and Cash and all the rest, I loved the time I spent with them and was very pleased with the way it wrapped up. I wish them all the best. 

I highly recommend this series. To be honest this is not my usual genre but I loved it! You really need to give it a try!

My thoughts about Stealing Light (audio-book)~ 

I originally read Stealing Light in 2016 and absolutely loved it. I recently listened to the audio-book and fell in love with the story all over again. The narrator, Kelley Ernst, does a fabulous job reading the book and really nailed CeeCee's character. She made CeeCee come to life for me. I've also read book two, Chasing Darkness and I can't wait for the opportunity to listen to it.

Here is my original review that was posted on May 12, 2016.

Oh. My. Gosh! Stealing Light is a unique and very awesome story about love, light, guardian angels, dark evilness, discovering one's true self, and learning about the power within. And I loved every minute of it! I was so sad when it ended. But...... I learned from the author that she is currently working on the sequel! Yay! Yay! Yay!! 

I loved CeeCee and I loved watching as she discovers her Gift of Light and as she comes to terms with the fact that she has had a guardian angel all these years. She and her brother lost their parents in a horrible car accident four years ago and she has felt so lost and alone since then. Discovering all the beautifulness around her is a wonderful thing, but along with all this beauty and love comes darkness and evil. Is she strong enough to survive all that evil?

I love the idea of guardian angels watching over us so I thoroughly enjoyed this story of Julie's, centering around these angels. It was amazing to read how she was able to put human thoughts and emotions into these beings. What a beautiful, intense, and captivating story! Hurry up with book #2, Julie!

My thoughts about Chasing Darkness ~~

First line—"I stood in the room of white, but could not bring myself to look at the throne where He would soon be sitting. I hung my head in shame and waited for my judgement."

Stealing Light, book 1 in this series just blew me away! And Chasing Darkness continues with that same kind of awesomeness. I went back and re-read Stealing Light just so I could get caught up in the story again. It was just as good the second time. Then the action takes off in Chasing Darkness. 

I love CeeCee and Cash together and this book gives us a little more of their history as we see their relationship deepen. CeeCee has so much to learn about the Light and the Darkness. This is a scary time for CeeCee as the Darkness and the shadows become evil things. She starts to grasp the power of her Light and learns to use it to fight the Darkness. Epic battles ensue! 

Chasing Darkness is such an exciting look at a different world; a world that is full of light and dark, good and evil. I devoured this story and I can't wait to continue this tale in book three as CeeCee and Cash 'chase the Darkness.'

I grew up the youngest girl of six kids in Livonia, Michigan. (That's a little suburban town just west of Detroit.) I'm a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and earned a Bachelor Degree in Fine Art specializing in Graphic Design. I've worked as a production artist for a sportswear company, a graphic designer for non-profit publications, a freelance designer and painter, and I now currently work as a legal assistant for an attorney. (I know, it's an unexpected employment twist, isn't it?) I am currently working on several new paintings and photographs and have a young adult fiction series in the works.
