Résistance by Susan Kaye Quinn
Stories of Singularity #7
Kindle Edition, 50 pages
Published October 28th 2019 by Twisted Space LLC

Kamali LeClair’s dance is her prayer—and her rebellion against the human/bot hybrids who run the world. In Paris’s annual showcase for the creative Olympics, she’ll prove she’s the best of what’s left of humanity… and then refuse the ascenders’ prize of immortality. But when a young man has an offer of résistance she didn’t know was possible, she has to decide how far she’s willing to go to defy the rulers who banished her mother.

Résistance  is a standalone short novella that takes place in the world of the Singularity novels.

My thoughts about Résistance ~~

(I love to note the first lines of the books I'm reading. First lines can really grab a reader's attention and I love seeing where the author takes the reader after their first lines.)

First line—"The backstage stinks of sweat and misplaced hope."

I love this whole series and Résistance is a wonderful story showcasing the beauty, talent. and strength of Kamali LeClair. She is an amazing dancer and uses her gift to further her cause.

Résistance dropped me right back into the Singularity world, where the concept of that world is so foreign to me, but one that Susan Kaye Quinn has made very real. It is so easy to become engrossed in her creative story-lines.

The Singularity series and the Stories of Singularity are amazing stories that I highly recommend. You really should read them!

I received a copy of Résistance from the author and this is my honest review.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? October 21, 2019

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's an opportunity to visit other blogs and to comment on their reads. And ... you can add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!
