My thoughts about Beach Bliss ~~
(I love to note the first lines of the books I'm reading. First lines can really grab a reader's attention and I love seeing where the author takes the reader after their first lines.)
First line—"Beyond the dune grass, Long Island Sound sparkles beneath the summer sunshine. It's a sight that never escapes Elsa's attention. Standing on the sloping lawn, she takes in that sweeping view of blue."
I love Joanne's beach books series! Whenever I start one, I know I'm going back to the warm and welcoming community of Stony Point full of fun, caring people who I have come to think of as friends. I've celebrated with them as they go through their good times, as well as watching them support each other through the bad ones.
Beach Bliss was a fun visit to Stony Point as we see the men pit each other in a tough competition they call 'The List' to see who will win the coveted prize. I loved watching their antics as they work through the challenges. You can tell they are all close friends who love to rib each other. I love the friendships and the banter between the men—what great friends they are to each other.
I have watched relationships bloom and grow throughout this whole series and I love that I feel right at home when I go back. I always look forward to my next journey to the beach.

we got hit with a huge snowstorm. We ended up with 9-10 inches of that heavy, wet snow. And we also ended up with our 3 yo grandson for the weekend while his parents were out of town since we couldn't travel to take him to his aunt, which was the original plan. So, we were pretty much snowbound but I got very little, to no, reading done while he was here.
