Not much happened out of the ordinary in my world this past week, just lots of awesome books on my TBR list. I wish I could just read all the time, darn day job! 😏 When there's nothing much to talk about, we talk about the weather, right? It got up in the 50s last Friday and it'll be in the 40s-50s this upcoming week. This is unseasonably warm for our area, this time of year. Hubby is bummed because that probably means the end of ice fishing for this year. I am excited cause I love it when the weather gets warm enough so I can sit on our patio with a good book. Where is your favorite place to read?

Whew! What a busy week and weekend. We left on Friday morning to travel to Nebraska. We wanted to introduce the youngest member of our family to the matriarch of our family. We got back on Sunday just in time to makes a few dips and head to a Super Bowl party. (I watch for the commercials.) 😁 It was a good game though too. 🏈 Now it's back to work.

I can't believe that January is almost over. Where does the time go? This coming weekend, we are traveling with our new granddaughter to Nebraska so she can meet her namesake, my 85 year-old mother-in-law. There will be plenty of picture taking, I'm sure. 

Hubby and I went to see the movie Hidden Figures this past weekend. We don't really go to that many movies in the theater so this was a treat. What a great movie! I think one of my book clubs is going to be reading the book sometime soon. There are so many good movies out right now. Have you seen any good ones lately?

Well, we finally celebrated Christmas with the kids and grandkiddos last weekend. People might think we are crazy to wait but it takes away a lot of the hassle and stress of trying to get everything done by December 22nd. We always travel over Christmas and this later date allows us all to recuperate and be relaxed for our celebration. 

It's always so much fun and now with the addition of the new grandbaby, there are 18 of us. I love it that we can all get together and have a wonderful day. And I love watching my kids interact as adults now, it makes all those growing up years so worth it. 

As I am getting this post ready on Sunday, it is snowing lightly. Big flakes, coming down very softly - it looks and feels like I am in a snowglobe. It is so pretty.

About the author 

Ednah Walters grew up reading Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys and dreaming of one day writing her own stories. She is a stay-at-home mother of five humans and two American short-hair cats (one of which has ADHD) and a husband. When she is not writing, she’s at the gym doing Zumba or doing things with her family, reading, traveling or online chatting with fans.

Ednah is the author of The Guardian Legacy series, a YA fantasy series about children of the fallen angels, who fight demons and protect mankind. Awakened, the prequel was released by Pill Hill Press in September 2010 with rave reviews. Betrayed, book one in the series was released by her new publisher Spencer Hill Press in June 2012 and Hunted, the third installment, was released April 2013. Ednah also writes New Adult paranormal romance. Runes is the first book in her new series. She is presently working on book 2, Immortals. Under the pseudonym E. B. Walters, Ednah writes contemporary romance. Slow Burn, the first contemporary romance with suspense, was released in April 2011. It is the first book in the Fitzgerald family series. Since then she has published four more books in this series. She's presently working on book six.
