Kate and Noah thought they had the kind of love that could last through anything. Until their world crumbles out from beneath them.

My thoughts about Belong to Me ~~
First, I have to say how much I love this cover. If I wasn't already a huge fan of Laura's books, I would have wanted to take a closer look at this book because of the cover .... so beautiful!
And then there's the story inside that beautiful cover. Kate and Noah have been thrown back together for Kate's twin brother, Jack's funeral. Jack was Noah's best friend. The two of them have to deal with all the emotions of this horrible loss of their loved one as they also try to work through the emotions that split them apart all those months ago.
'I pushed that memory into the back of my mind, because that's what I always did. Repress things.'
I immediately loved the back and forth bantering between Kate and Noah as they each tried in their own way to come to grips with what had happened in the past. Can they forget, forgive, and move forward? Or do they each need to go their own separate ways?
'My lips and body remembered him, and they responded on cue, as if ecstatic to finally return home after a long journey. But my mind remembered everything, too. And everyone.'
Belong to Me is a story that I loved reading, one that kept my interest to the very end. This is book one in the Moore Crossing series and I can't wait to see where Laura takes us next. She is such a wonderful storyteller and I am excited to head back to that world.
About the author
Laura Howard lives in New Hampshire with her husband and four children. Her obsession with books began at the age of 6 when she got her first library card. Nancy Drew, Sweet Valley High and other girly novels were routinely devoured in single sittings.
Books took a backseat to diapers when she had her first child. It wasn’t until the release of a little novel called Twilight, 8 years later, that she rediscovered her love of fiction. Soon after, her own characters began to make themselves known.
The Forgotten Ones is her first published novel.
