Book Spotlight Giveaway! The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

I have sooooo many books! I have a ton of print books and probably even more e-books. The Book Spotlight Giveaway feature that I post every Saturday is a way for me to clear my shelves and to share some of the many books I have. There are a lot of different reasons that I might be letting some of my books go, the biggest one is that when we moved 2 years ago I discovered how many books I really do have. This feature is a way for my to cull my collection and to give someone else the opportunity to enjoy them.

The Girl on the Train is a book that I have both listened to and read. I enjoyed both versions. My book club read this for this month's meeting and everyone seemed to enjoy it. It's amazing to me that this is Paula's first thriller. She hit this one out of the park. The movie will be out in October!

Good luck and be sure to stop back next week!

The Girl on the Train

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
Hardcover, 336 pages
Published January 13th 2015 by Riverhead Books

The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives.

EVERY DAY THE SAME
Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life—as she sees it—is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

UNTIL TODAY
And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough. Now everything’s changed. Unable to keep it to herself, Rachel goes to the police. But is she really as unreliable as they say? Soon she is deeply entangled not only in the investigation but in the lives of everyone involved. Has she done more harm than good?
