From New York Times bestselling author Joanne DeMaio comes a beautiful novel about a little town you'll want to visit, and a love story you won't soon forget.

Harry Dane lives an ordinary life. From his days working alongside his father at a New England general store, to Harry's endearing and heartbreaking relationships, to sudden snowstorms, to quirky fiascos of found kittens and spilled jam jars, always ... always there is a curious constant.

Through it all, each and every winter, a Christmas card arrives at Harry's Craftsman bungalow from a mysterious woman named Sadie Welles. And when the two of them unexpectedly meet, Harry Dane soon finds himself in an intricate love story spanning Eighteen Winters.

My thoughts about Eighteen Winters ~~

(I love to note the first lines of the books I'm reading. First lines can really grab a reader's attention and I love seeing where the author takes the reader after their first line.

First line—"Home. Harry Dane can't wait to get there again. But this time, it won't be the same—so the drive home feels different."

Eighteen Winters, Joanne DeMaio's newest book, is the perfect book to get you in the mood for the upcoming Christmas holiday. The story starts with the first winter that Harry comes home from college, a new home that his parents just moved into. Then we get snippets of Harry's life through the next seventeen winters, always in the winter, always at Christmas time. The entire book is filled with beautiful Christmas celebrations and memories.

But as Henry life goes on through the years and things change and losses happen, we see that he is also very lonely. One of the constants each year is the Christmas card sent by Sadie to the former owners of the house. No one ever tells her that her friends have moved and I always felt a little sad when Henry opened the annual card from Sadie.

Eighteen Winters is set in the perfect Christmas town of Addison, a place that is referred to as a 'snow-globe town', a place that embraces everything that has to do with snow, winter, and the holiday. I always look forward to my trips to Addison, meeting up with my old friends who live there, visiting the stores and coffee shops that I have come to love. This is a book that will touch your heart and make you want to embrace all that is dear to you.

I received a copy of Eighteen Winters from the author and this is my honest opinion of the book.
