My thoughts about The First Mistake ~~
(I love to note the first lines of the books I'm reading. First lines can really grab a reader's attention and I love seeing where the author takes the reader after their first lines.)
First line—"She looked at me with real warmth in her eyes, as if she trusted me with her life, and for a moment I thought I couldn't go through with it."
What an amazing story, full of twists and turns. I thought I knew what was going on and then there I was, confused again. I didn't know what was the truth and what was a lie. All of the characters in this dramatic tale were ones that I both loved and hated simultaneously. I wasn't sure who my sympathies should be with.
This is probably one of the best psychological thrillers that I have read this year, and honestly I have read quite a few. This one will keep you guessing to the very end and have you shaking your head that that ending.
