Single mother Natasha Northwood has her life sorted. With a beautiful daughter, a dream career, and a bestie for company, she doesn’t need anyone or anything else.

That doesn’t mean she can’t lust after a celebrity every now and again—and her current crush just happens to be the curly-haired reality TV rock god Lincoln Page. With a partner and twin girls, he is the perfect unavailable choice to dream about on the occasional lonely night.

That is, until a chance meeting on a flight puts their respective lives on a trajectory that neither imagined. Natasha suddenly finds herself in the role of Lincoln’s friend, helping him through a life-changing crisis, all while expanding her business and building her own identity.

But when one shocking event affects both of them, they must decide if they will remain in each other’s lives…or go their separate ways.

My thoughts about My Own Personal Rockstar ~~

(I love to note the first lines of the books I'm reading. First lines can really grab a reader's attention and I love seeing where the author takes the reader after their first lines.)

First line—"Okay. I'll admit it. I am lame. You're not supposed to have a crush on a reality TV singing contestant."

My Own Personal Rockstar is a wonderful story that was just perfect for me to read right now. It offered a little bit of escapism from my life at the perfect time.

Haven't we all had a little (or huge) bit of a crush on a celebrity at some point? What if your lives just happened to intersect? Would you be able to see past the fame to get to know the real person underneath?

Natasha and Lincoln meet just by happenstance, on a plane, and neither one of them is the same afterwards. Both of these characters are amazing people and I rooted for them through the whole story, wanting them both to get exactly what they desired. This was such an entertaining story for me.

I loved My Own Personal Rockstar!highly recommend it if you like a light, fun chick-lit read or maybe need an escape, just like I did.

I received a copy of My Own Personal Rockstar from the author and this is my honest opinion.
