Release Day! Last Girl Ghosted by Lisa Unger ~ My Thoughts #LastGirlGhosted #NetGalley

 Happy Release Day!!

Congrats Lisa
on the release of
Last Girl Ghosted!

Last Girl Ghosted by Lisa Unger
Mystery, Thriller, 352 pages
Published October 5, 2021 by Park Row

Secrets, obsession and vengeance converge in this riveting thriller about an online dating match turned deadly cat-and-mouse game, from the New York Times bestselling author of Confessions on the 7:45.

Think twice before you swipe.

She met him through a dating app. An intriguing picture on a screen, a date at a downtown bar. What she thought might be just a quick hookup quickly became much more. She fell for him—hard. It happens sometimes, a powerful connection with a perfect stranger takes you by surprise. Could it be love?

But then, just as things were getting real, he stood her up. Then he disappeared—profiles deleted, phone disconnected. She was ghosted.

Maybe it was her fault. She shared too much, too fast. But isn't that always what women think—that they're the ones to blame? Soon she learns there were others. Girls who thought they were in love. Girls who later went missing. She had been looking for a connection, but now she's looking for answers. Chasing a digital trail into his dark past—and hers—she finds herself on a dangerous hunt. And she's not sure whether she's the predator—or the prey.

My thoughts about Last Girl Ghosted ~~

(I love to note the first lines of the books I'm reading. First lines can really grab a reader's attention and I love seeing where the author takes the reader after their first lines.)

First lines—"Mia Thorpe drove, the road ahead of her long and twisty. Dark. She'd been driving on and off for two days, was stiff and bleary-eyed from the trip."

I wasn't sure what to expect when I started this book. I had seen Lisa's books everywhere and knew that everyone raved about them but I hadn't read one yet. Oh my gosh! This book is sooooo good!

There was just the right amount of suspense, intrigue, and creepiness to keep me turning the pages with just the right amount of romance and attraction to keep it interesting. But will the good guy, or gal, win in this case? That remains to be seen until the exciting end.

Like I said, this is the first book by Lisa Unger that I have read. How can that be!? It definitely won't be my last now that I have discovered her. I can't wait for some more intense rides. I highly recommend Last Girl Ghosted for edge-of-your-seat page-turner. If you love thrillers, you will love this one!

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? October 4, 2021 #IMWAYR

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's an opportunity to visit other blogs and to comment on their reads. And ... you can add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

Hubs and I spend a week out in the Black Hills this past week. We love it out there and it's only about 6 hours across the state for us. We try to get out there 2-3 times a year.  It's beautiful and very relaxing. I got several books read and enjoyed the colorful trees and amazing clouds.

So, this week's IMWAYR is actually 2 weeks worth of books as I never even got on my computer the whole time we were gone to put up a post last Monday. 😄

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you all have a good week.
Happy reading!

Well, our days with the 7 year old grandson went well. I even got him to school on time every day. Whew! He and Papa went out fishing one day after school. No fish were caught but memories were made. 💕 Otherwise, after school, he was busy creating a book that he is super excited to show his parents. It was fun watching his creative mind at work. It was so hard to say goodbye on Friday but we'll see him soon.

And then, this coming Friday we are taking a little trip to the Black Hills! It's only across the state but we love it out there and have access to a nice condo as our home base. Hubs is hoping to get some fishing in and ..... I'm hoping to get in a lot of reading. 😉

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you all have a good week.
