WWW Wednesdays January 2, 2013

WWW Wednesdays is hosted by Should Be Reading

To play along, just answer the following three questions…

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

Clicking on the book covers will take you to Goodreads
for more information about the books listed below.

What are you currently reading?

The Goddaughter by Melodie Campbell
I am reading this one for TLC Book Tours. My thoughts will be posted January 7th. The first week of the new year and I am ahead of schedule! Whoo hoo! (It won't last)

Where We Belong by Emily Giffin
I haven't spent much time in my car lately, which is where I have been listening to this book. So I am still plugging away at it. It is a good book, it's just going to take me awhile.

What did you recently finish reading?

Know Thy Neighbor by Shawn Kirsten Maravel
I loved this book ~ I will try to post my thoughts later this week.

The Green Ticket by Samantha March
My stop on the tour was January 1. A great way to start 2013! My thoughts are here.

Room by Emma Donoghue
A very different book, told entirely in the voice of a 5 year old boy. Very interesting and I'm glad I finally got around to reading it. Have you read it? What did you think?

What do you think you will read next?

The Darling Girls by Emma Burstall or
Sara's Promise by Deanna Lynn Sletten
I will be reading either The Darlings Girls or Sara's Promise. T

The Darling Girls is for CLP Blog Tours and my stop will be January 14th. Deanna contacted me over the weekend and asked me to read Sara's Promise. If I receive it soon, it will be bumped to the top of my reading list ~ it sounds so wonderful! I read Memories by Deanna in October and loved it.

What's on your WWW this week?

Leave me a comment and
I'll stop by to check out your reads.

And be sure to check out the sidebar
for my current giveaways!

    1. I really liked it. And I know a lot of people were kind of disturbed by it but the author did a great job. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. I started Room once, and I couldn't get into it. I don't know what it was - the book or me at the time. :) I will try again, though, someday.

    1. Hi Brandy - thanks for stopping by. I have to admit that Room wouldn't be for everyone.

  4. I thought Room was great until it changes to the mother's perspective at the end. I was disappointed in the ending. But it was a compelling story.

    1. I guess I didn't think about that much but I guess you're right. Wonder why the author thought she had to do that?

      Thanks for stopping by!

  5. You are off to a great start so far this year! I read Room awhile back and like Kwizgiver I really liked it up until the perspective change at the end. But overall a unique read.

    1. This was a very unique book - have not read any thing like it. It was very interesting to think about that little boy's perspective of everything after growing up in a room and the mother thinking that may be the only life he will experience.

      Thanks for stopping by!

  6. Every time I see the cover of Room I want to read it and then promptly forget about it by the time I make it to a bookstore. This time I'm adding it to my actual list.

    Happy reading!

    1. There are just so many great books I want to read and I know I have probably missed a lot of them for that same reason, I forget to put them on a list.

      Thanks for stopping by!
