My thoughts about My Wife is Missing ~~

First line—"As Michael Hart rounded the corner to his hotel room, he saw a small, lifeless shape lying on the floor of the hallway."

I'm a huge fan of D.J. Palmer and have read all of his books. His stories just keep getting better and better! My Wife is Missing is an exciting, drama-filled page-turner that you will not be able to put down. There is suspense and plenty of nail-biting scenes as Natalie tries to escape her husband, the father of her children. But nothing is ever as easy as it should be, or as it seems. 

Your heart will race along with Natalie's as she runs away from the man she thought she loved and who she thought loved her. My Wife is Missing is the ultimate psychological thriller that will grab you and make you hold on for dear life. I highly recommend it for the ride of your life.

I previously read book #1, Shatter Me, (read my thoughts here), loved it, and always meant to read more of this series. My taste in genres has changed since then and I'm going to let this one go. I know someone else is going to love it!

First line—"At thirty minutes past eight o'clock, red and blue strobe lights lit up the sky outside Grace Francone's modest Cape house with the frenzy of a fireworks display."

D.J. Palmer's books consistently blow me away. I'm always amazed to find another psychological thriller can take me to a place that I have not gone before. The Perfect Daughter did just that. The author takes the reader on a roller-coaster ride of emotions, drama, and suspense all while tackling the topic of mental illness in the form of severe multiple personality disorder.  

This story was absolutely amazing and I completely devoured it. The subject of multiple personalities has always fascinated me and this book was satisfying with the breadth and knowledge that the author has of this particular disorder. 

The Perfect Daughter is the perfect psychological thriller that will keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat to the very end. I highly recommend it, as I have all of D.J. Palmer's other books!

My thoughts about The New Husband ~~

First line—"It was a chilly predawn morning when Anthony Strauss eased Sweet Caroline, his seventeen-foot Boston Whaler, from the trailer into water so dark it was indistinguishable from the sky."

This was such a mind-blowing story! So. Much. Evil! And ultimately disguised as love. So evil!

The New Husband starts off with people just trying to become a new family, trying to get past the death of a loved one. But something just feels off. Perhaps someone is not who they seem to be? Perhaps the truth is not really the truth?

This story is an amazing page-turner that grabbed me for the very start and kept me enthralled to the very end. D. J. Palmer is the master of suspense, and creepiness. This book will knock your socks off!

First line—"Panic gripped her as the airplane’s hatch door closed."

Saving Meghan will have you, as the reader, questioning each character's motive and wondering who you can believe. And then, when you least expect it, you'll get hit from left field.

I knew when I started this book that there were going to be twists and unexpected turns so as I was reading it, I kept looking for the holes in peoples' stories, doubting everyone's actions. Reading like that, expecting the worst in everyone, had me on the edge of my seat through the whole book. What a tense, but exciting journey!

I loved this page-turning, extraordinary story and can't wait to see what else D. J. has in store for his readers.
